Joshua Iginla Visits Cana Of Galilee Where Jesus Performed 1st Miracle

Joshua Iginla Visits Cana Of Galilee Where Jesus Performed 1st Miracle

Popular Abuja pastor Bro Joshua Iginla and his crew were earlier today at Cana of Galilee.

Cana is the traditional site of the wedding feast where Jesus performed his first miracle of turning water into wine (John 2: 1-11). It was also mentioned later in John as a place where Jesus healed a royal officials son (John 4:46) and the hometown of the disciple Nathaneal (also called Bartholomew) (John 21:2).

He had a brief but powerful marital rededication service there, where couples were blessed by Bro Joshua Iginla, marital vows were also renewed.
He also prayed for intending couples.
Avoid Watching Television While Praying- Ramadan

Avoid Watching Television While Praying- Ramadan

An Islamic cleric, Alhaji Aminulahi Seriki, on Sunday, June 11 called on Nigerians, particularly Muslims to use the opportunity of Ramadan to pray for quick recovery of President Mohammadu Buhari.

Seriki, Assistant Imam, Ansarul-deen Mosque, Fadeyi, Lagos, made the call at an annual Ramadan Lecture, entitled 'The Impact of Prayers'.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the lecture was organised by Alhaji Moshood Salvador, a factional Lagos state chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The lecture was held alongside `zakat’ – giving alms to the needy.

The cleric, who said that God commanded prayers for leaders, urged Muslims to avoid watching television while praying to avoid unanswered prayer.

“We should fully submit ourselves to God and concentrate when praying to Him.

“You don’t watch television or look at things going on around you while praying; such things are the causes of unanswered prayers,” he said.

TB Joshua Heals Man Who Has Persistent Erection After Sleeping With Prostitute

This young man learnt the hard way that patronizing prostitutes is not a child of God’s way. Ironically, it was after he went to church with his father, later that day, he went out to meet a prostitute. When he got home that evening, his erection remained. As a result, he could hardly stand or move, even sitting was difficult.

Sunday was forced to explain his plight to his father who took him to the doctors who could only recommend an operation. They declined and continued making efforts to solve his excruciatingly painful problem. Sunday became housebound for five months because of the permanent erection! His father, a reputable man in Ondo state, recalled that a man had visited The SCOAN with the same problem and was healed and so, he brought his son.

When Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for Sunday, his whole body began to shake. After the prayer, Prophet T.B. Joshua told him to urinate. As Sunday urinated, the pain and poisonous substances left his body. Now, the erection has gone and he is able to live a normal life.

Sunday Akinrinwa advised youth that they should not fornicate or commit adultery but rather commit their ways to God.
Why Should Artistes Leave Church For Stardom?

Why Should Artistes Leave Church For Stardom?

Started from the church now we’here! This should be the mantra of some of the biggest artistes Nigeria has ever produced. From Terry G to Timaya, Wizkid to Wande Coal, even Don Jazzy! The list is endless. They all started from the church, but didn’t stay in the church. Some started out as drummers, keyboardist or praise and worship leaders. But what happened to them? Why did they leave the church to seek for greener pastures?

Coming from a faith based perspective, it will be painful and disheartening, to see the young chap that used to lead praise and worship in your local assembly, spraying dollar bills and dancing with almost nude ladies, in music videos. How did he turn out to become this? Well, our brothers in the “secular” music industry will never agree to the aforementioned opinion, as they feel justified with their actions. Why won’t they; these guys can buy the whole church and pay the pastor’s salary, for God’s sake! At this juncture, I will like to assert that this piece is not meant to spur a holy crusade (or a jihad) against secular music artistes, but to ask some pertinent questions on why the church has failed to keep its best musical talent(s).

I now understand better what clubs like Atletico Madrid and Tottenham face every season. They produce bright players; bring them to limelight only for them to be sold to richer clubs (not necessarily better though), and this cycle continues season after season. It is not too far-fetched to say that the church has become an academy (or a breeding ground) where the secular world comes to pick budding talents as they so desire. And the church looks on……helplessly?! To make matters worse, the church (not generalizing) invites these entertainers to come perform on its hallowed and ecclesiastical alter. The moral laxity of the church seems to have reached an all-time low. My unreserved apologies if I sound irate.

A popular Nigerian music star who hails from the South-East Nigeria, once decided to show his philanthropic side, by donating high-end musical instruments to the church he started out from. There is nothing wrong in his magnanimity, even the holy book says the clergy shall eat from the riches of the gentiles. What I find appalling is the hypocrisy behind such acts. While such artistes are welcomed with open arms to the church (no problem about that, the church is a hospital for the sinners), clergy men preach against their music and actions (especially the baby mama syndrome). But while they are on the altar, their sons and daughters are miming and dancing to the latest secular music in town. Not to forget the ones with lewd and polluted lyrics. This is the irony of the century!

When asked: what was the transition like from the church to the secular music? A popular artiste (name withheld) said “if you listen to my songs, you will see that I am always thankful to God. My relationship with God is private…”. This is the same artiste that has songs with lyrics that says the exact opposite to his statement. I do not want to be judgmental, but shouldn’t your relationship with God reflect in your song? I again reiterate my earlier stated assertion that I have no qualms with secular music and the entertainment industry at large; in fact these songs have put Nigeria on the international scene, with billboard charting and award winning songs. This industry deserves accolades as facts have shown that it is one of the highest revenue generating sectors in Nigeria.

So as not to present myself as infallible, I am somewhat of an admirer of some secular artistes and their songs, as I am occasionally caught in the web of indecision between secular music I shouldn’t listen to and my moral cum spiritual background. Most youths will surely empathize with me on this. Even though I do not have these songs on my gadget, the radio is a necessary evil that dishes out hit tracks upon hit tracks. Even as I write, the television is currently playing the song of one the artistes I talked about, and I am unconsciously dancing to the tune! Well, like the apostle rightly said, things I don’t want to do, I usually find myself doing it and vice versa.

If these secular musicians have stayed in the church would they have made it? Would they have stuck to the style of music they are doing if it were in the gospel genre? These are questions lingering in the air, waiting to be answered.

So as not to sound critical without proffering solutions, I will opine that the church provides the platform and incentives needed to make the ever-growing talents want to give their all. Rick Warren said “the church has to be contemporary without comprising”, a statement I totally concur with. It is time the church start to organize programs that will rub shoulders with the likes of Glo Music Fest, the Headies and Grammys. I know there is the yearly Experience music concert, but that is not enough. Also youths in the church should not be in a hurry to blow, all in the name of hustle, as a lot shenanigans goes on in the music industry, but it is well hidden because they hide under the facade of entertainment. They (youths in the church) should draw inspiration from the success stories of people like Frank Edward, Eben, Nathaniel Bassey and others.

Stick to the game and at the end, it will surely speak. (In Professor Johnbull’s voice), over and out!
Nigeria Will Lose Billions If TB Joshua Relocates

Nigeria Will Lose Billions If TB Joshua Relocates

Certain stakeholders in the tourism industry on Sunday encouraged the Federal and Lagos State Governments to dissuade Pastor Temitope Joshua, generally known as, TB Joshua, from moving the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) to Israel from Nigeria.

They informed the News Agency of Nigeria that Nigeria will lose billions of naira to religious tourism if Temitope Joshua and SCOAN should make the plan true.

NAN reports that TB Joshua, during one of his church services, lately declared that he was about to move to Israel from Ikotun, a suburb of Lagos.

It was disclosed that TB Joshua was in Israel lately where he held meetings with the mayors of Jerusalem, Tiberia and the Jordan Valley.

He was cited as saying that he was offered different facilities very close to the biblical site of the Sea of Galilee where he could organise meetings for international pilgrims.

NAN also reports that SCOAN established in 1994 does not have another branch in Nigeria outside its international headquarters located in Ikotun.

Some heads of government from African countries had also visited SCOAN to seek spiritual restoration and advice from Pastor TB Joshua

Mrs Ime Udo, the General Secretary of the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators (NANTA) told NAN that Nigeria would lose billions of naira from religious tourism revenue if SCOAN actualised its planned relocation to Israel.

Udo said Joshua’s planned action would lead to a reduction in the human traffic of local and foreign religious tourists that normally patronised SCOAN.

Udo said, “Religious obligations have become a fashionable trend all over the world as a means of expressing beliefs and faith in the ability of God to protect and guide mankind.

“Religious practices both under the auspices of Christianity, Islam and traditional practices have in no small way contributed to the development of tourism in the world.

“Christian pilgrimages to Israel have formed an economic platform for the empowerment of the localities and contributed to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.

“Also, Saudi Arabia has been benefiting immensely economically from many Islamic faithful who converge there twice annually on holy pilgrimage.

“With these scenarios and many others around the world, it has become valid that religious tourism has become a source of economic revival to a country and its people, “she said.

According to her, thousands of foreign religious tourists visit SCOAN monthly to worship and for other spiritual healings.

She said that these tourists would fly into Nigeria; lodge in hotels, board commercial vehicles, patronise eateries and visit other tourists’ sites around the locality.

Udo said that all these had been translating into huge revenue for the Nigeria economy.

“The local community; hotel operators, food vendors and others around SCOAN must have benefitted from tourists.

“SCOAN has, no doubt, contributed immensely to the tourism profile of Nigeria with several heads of government from various African countries that had visited there to seek spiritual restoration and advise from Pastor TB Joshua, ” she said.

Udo advised the Federal and Lagos State Governments to encourage SCOAN to remain in Nigeria as part ways to develop our tourism sector.

A member of SCOAN, Mrs Iyabo Emmanuel, said that she was in church service when their General Overseer, Pastor TB Joshua, announced to the members on the offer given to him by the Israeli Mayors.

Mrs Emmanuel, popularly called “Iya’’(Mother) Synagogue, said that Pastor Joshua never said that he had agreed to such a proposal from the mayors.

“I have been worshipping in SCOAN since 1994 when TB Joshua established it newly in Ikotun area.

“I worked with TB Joshua for 15years before I resigned and ventured into selling of provisions. Then, I was the chef; head of canteen and bakery.

“I am still a full-time member of the church and I will continue to worship there. I am one of those that had benefitted from the church,” she said.

Emmanuel said that many residents and business owners would suffer if TB Joshua should relocate SCOAN from Ikotun.

She said that majority of business owners around the area depended solely on the visitors to the church and they used to patronise facilities around the church.

A hotel operator, Mrs Anthonia Chuks, told NAN that if the rumour that TB Joshua was relocating to Israel eventually turned to reality, the hospitality business in that area and the state would suffer and fold up.

“Ninety–five per cent of guests that lodge in hotels in the community are international and local visitors outside Lagos and they are SCOAN members.

“We have over 130 rooms and are always fully booked every weekend.

“ We usually enjoy huge patronage from Fridays to Sundays weekly; and they are mostly SCOAN members from near and far,” she said.

Similarly, Mr Solomon Oyelade, a car-hire operator, said that since the rumour of the planned relocation of the church to Israel, the patronage of cabs had reduced drastically.

Oyelade said that in the past, he used to go to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos seven times in a day to transport international passengers down to SCOAN.

“But, since the incident of collapsed building in the church premises years back, the patronage of foreigners had reduced.

“ With this present rumour of relocation, we hardly carry passengers from Airport two times a day. The patronage has reduced beyond expectations, “he said.

Also, Mr Uche Maduako, a food vendor, appealed to TB Joshua not to accept such offer from the Israeli mayors.

He said that behind every rumour there is an iota of truth.

He also urged the Federal and the Lagos State Governments to support the continuing stay of TB Joshua in the country.

“The government should make the country worth staying for him and ensure they support him in all ramifications,” he said.

Maduako urged the government to renovate the bad roads around the church, adding that the condition of the roads was not encouraging.

He said that the contributions and impacts of TB Joshua in that community could not be overemphasis.

“The man of God has contributed immensely to the betterment of the community; employed thousands of graduates and non-graduates to work in the church and in other investments of the church.

“TB Joshua always ensures that there is constant power supply and adequate security in the area, ” he said.

"I Was Tricked By TB Joshua In Nigeria" - Snake Pastor Says

After seeking deliverance from prophet T.B Joshua, Controversial Penuel Mnguni of End Times Disciples Ministries a.k.a 'snake pastor' has made a U-turn since his appearance on Emmanuel TV on Sunday. Mnguni visited TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of all Nations in Nigeria on Sunday, and explained why he had fed his congregants live snakes. Mnguni, who described himself as an “overseer” of his church, said he had misinterpreted the Bible, and did what he thought was scriptural at the time.

It was after watching TB Joshua on TV that he realised what he was doing was wrong. He said he went to Nigeria to seek deliverance from the prophet.

Now he has come out saying he had to say all of that because he feared for his safety in Nigeria.

He told Daily Sun he did not know he would be “forced” to speak in front of people. Mnguni claimed he was invited to the church, and only went there for “worship” and not deliverance, but was shocked when on arrival, “those people” took his passport and ID and threatened not to give them back unless he did whatever they wanted.

“It was as if everything was planned before I even got there. If you listen to the video, I am not the one saying those words. There is a woman next to me who is forcefully telling me what to say,” Daily Sun quoted him as saying.

While watching and listening to the video, a woman's voice can be heard telling the pastor what to say in front of the congregation.

T.B. Joshua Donates N10m To Less Privileged In The North

General Overseer of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua has been commended for donating the sum of 10 million Naira to the less privileged in the North in the spirit of Ramadan.

The donation is part of the humanitarian and philanthropic gestures of The SCOAN’s activities towards assisting the less privileged in the society.

The Pastor With The 'Magic' Jacket (Photos, Video)

I don’t know if this is a Nigerian Pastor, but it is trending on all Social Media platforms. This is a video of a Pastor who is waving his suit jacket at his congregation, and the people just seem to fall in the spirit every time he waves it. I think it will interest Nairalanders.

This is magical, I am not sure Jesus Christ did this much show of miracle.

OAU DSA Suspends All Religious Activities In Halls Of Residence

OAU DSA Suspends All Religious Activities In Halls Of Residence

The Obafemi Awolowo University Department of Student Affairs (OAU DSA) today 4th of June 2017 made a special release stating that all religious activities should be suspended in the halls of residence.
The release also commanded all students to either pray in their rooms or go to the religious ground.

The "Special Release" which was all in upper case read thus:

"This is to bring to the attention of all students that all religious activities is hereby suspended in halls of residence until further notice.

Any student that fails to comply will face immediate disciplinary action which may include revocation of studentship and expulsion.
Students are advised to pray in their individual rooms or move to the religious centre"

The DSA has wasted no time in executing this new order. There are reports that some members of the DSA and school security went to the two major hall mosques (Awolowo hall mosque and Fajuyi hall mosque) and destroyed all the temporary structures in it after sending the Students out of them.

The religious centre is fifteen to twenty minutes walk from the 'Awo' hall which is the most populated hall of residence on campus. Taking such a walk five times daily might be more of difficulty than ease for most Muslim students and many Muslim students have seen it as an attempt to stop them from observing their daily prayers.

However, there have been no reports of similar demolitions in any of the several 'hall' secretariats allocated the Christian fellowships.

It should be remembered that G.O Akinola, the Dean of the DSA has not been the best friend of the Muslim students since her arrival in office.
She once called the hall mosques a brothel.Could this be a 'diplomatic' step she is taking to eliminate those "brothels" from the school.

There have been claims and accusations of a 'christianization' agenda going on in the school, with the faculty of pharmacy not having any Muslim lecturer and many departments having just one or two Muslim lecturers.
