Welder Segun Bamidele Beheads Farmer In Kwara State

A Welder who goes by the name Segun Bamidele has been arrested for beheading a farmer Mr. Sunday Owolabi in the Irepodun area of Kwara State.

Bamidele had earlier attempted to sell the severed head of Owolabi, who was found dead on his farm at Rore Village.

According to a source, Owolabi went to the farm on Saturday but didn't return prompting his relatives to organise a search party for him after they got worried. It was the search party, who found his dead and headless body on the farm on Sunday.

The source revealed that: "The suspect tried to sell the severed head to one Aliyu. Aliyu thereafter reported the case to a community leader, who in turn informed the village head.

"Upon interrogation by the community, Bamidele confessed to have acted under the influence of alcohol."

The suspect was arrested after the Omu-Aran Police Division got involved and this was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed his arrest adding that he was being interrogated.
