Barcelona stars Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta have cancelled their trip to Turkey to honour former teammate Samuel Eto'o Fils, whose foundation is celebrating its 10th year anniversary with a charity match. They cancelled their flights following the failed military coup in Turkey.

The duo of world player of the year Messi and his club captain Andres Iniesta were expected to join other football stars for the charity match on Saturday July 16, 2016 in Turkey.

The news of the cancellation was confirmed via the official Twitter of Spanish and Copa Del Rey champions Barcelona.
