Turkey president Tayyip Erdogan has stated that perpetrators of the failed coup on Friday night would be severely dealt with adding that his government remains in charge.
President Erdogan made this known during a speech at Istanbul Airport. He said: "What is being perpetrated is a treason and a rebellion. They will pay a heavy price."
"They have pointed the people's gun against the people. The president, whom 52percent of the people brought to power, is in charge. This government brought to power by the people, is in charge. They won't succeed as long as we stand against them by risking everything."
Top military men including five army generals and 29 colonels have been arrested in addition to over 1,500 soldiers. 90 lives were lost during the mayhem that happened yesterday night in Turkey.
