Munich Shopping Centre Shooting: Gunman Acted Alone, German Police Reveal

German Police have revealed that the gunman, who carried out the Munich shopping centre that led to the death of nine persons acted alone.

The gunman, who killed himself after the shooting, is an 18-year old German-Iranian dual national however his motive is still unclear to the police.

In addition to the people killed, sixteen were injured with three critically injured.

Speaking on the shooting incident, Munich. Police chief Hubertus Andrea told a news conference on Saturday morning said that the suspect had not been known to the police and there were no known links to terror groups, although investigations continuing.

He also confirmed that the story that three suspected attackers came when witness saw two people leaving the scene in a car "at considerable speed" was untrue.

On the motive, he said: "The motive or explanation for this crime is completely unclear."
