Eagles Star Mikel On Target In Big Chelsea Win

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi was on target as former Premier League champions Chelsea thrashed a local side from Austria 8-0 ‎in a friendly game.

Mikel Obi and a brace from Loic Remy ‎edged Chelsea 3-0 ahead at halftime before two goals each from new signing Michy Batshuayi and Pedro as well as another Remy strike completed the rout.

This was confirmed via the club's official Twitter handle as follows: "@ChelseaFC are 3-0 up at half-time. Two from Remy and one from Mikel... #CFCtour."

The handle further tweeted: "It ended 8-0 to the Blues, with Pedro (2), Batshuayi (2) and Remy adding to our first ‎half goals."

Next up for Mikel and the Chelsea team is the clash against Liverpool in the International Champions Cup.
