Police Sergeant Kills Himself After Killing Girlfriend For Cheating

An individual with the name Kennedy who is said to be a police sergeant, has been said to have killed himself yesterday Tuesday in Potiskum LGA of Yobe State.

It was gathered that the Sergeant who lived adjacent to the communities police station had been in an argument with his girlfriend
indoors in the late hours of the morning and suddenly gunshots were heard at about 11:45am inside the apartment.

Abdulmaliki Sunmonu, the Police commissioner of Yobe state command confirmed the incident to the press saying 'gunshots were heard in the Sergeants apartment'.

It was later discovered that it was a dual homicide as the sergeant had shot the girlfriend first before shooting himself. The Sergeant is said to have died instantly while the girl in question is in a critical condition at the time.

Some neighbors who had an idea of the reason behind such actions told the press that the couple were having trust issues as many a times lately, the Sergeant had been accusing the Margi lady of cheating on him with other men but nobody thought it would lead to the extent of guns and bullets been involved.
