Theresa May Appointed UK's Second Female Prime Minister

Theresa May has been officially sworn in as the second ever female Prime Minister on Wednesday evening after meeting the Queen at Buckingham Palace thus following in the footsteps of fellow tory, Margaret Thatcher.

Speaking after she was appointed, Theresa May promised to build a better Britain. She said: "The Government I lead will be driven not by the interests of the privileged few but by yours. We will do everything we can to give you more control over your lives."
