French forward Antoine Griezmann has been named EURO 2016 Player of the Tournament by European Football body, UEFA, who made the announcement via its website on Monday just a day after the conclusion of the competition.
Griezmann was the tournament's Golden Boot winner as well weighing in with six goals in addition to two assists though his French side were beaten 1-0 by eventual winners Portugal in the final.
The Atlético Madrid star was selected by a strong 13-man team of UEFA observers including popular figures like Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes and Gareth Southgate.
