American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift has emerged as the highest paid celebrity in 2016 according to Forbes as she finished in top spot ahead of boy band One Direction.
The 26-year old earned $170m thanks to her successful '1989' world tour ahead of One Direction in second spot with $110m.
American author James Patterson came in third with a $95m earnings with television personality Dr. Phil McGraw and football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo tied in fourth place on $88m according to the magazine. Others in the top 10 include American actor and comedian Kevin Hart, British singer Adele, Barclona superstar Lionel Messi as well as U.S. radio hosts Howard stern and Rush Limbaugh.
