TV/Radio Personality Bonang Matheba and his Rapper partner AKA have been named South Africa's Favourite Couple, at the 2016 You Awards.They were nominated alongside power couples such as Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Jay Anstey; Janez Vermeiren and Juliana Vasconcelos; JP and Sue Duminy and LeAnne and Sipho Dlamini before they emerged winners at the event, which took place on Saturday, July 16, 2016.

Bonang Matheba is gradually becoming the face of top television programming in South Africa while AKA is widely regarded as one of the most prominent rappers in the African continent.
