The killer truck driver, who masterminded the unfortunate Bastille Day terrorist attack in the Southern French city of Nice has been identified as 31-year old French-Tunisian Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel.
Bouhlel, who was a professional delivery driver, was known to the police before the deadly attack on Thursday night for reports of domestic violence, theft and 'acts of violence' and 'use of weapons'. He however was not previously associated with any acts of terrorism before the Nice incident.
He had earlier been stopped by police officers some few hours on the same premonade, where he mowed 84 people. His response to the officials was: "I am delivering Ice Cream".
The French police also confirmed that the French-Tunisian man was arrested on January 31 on account of public brawl.
The Bastille Day massacre in Nice claimed 84 lives in addition to 50 others badly wounded.
