26 Year Old Woman Arrested For Killing 14 Months Old Baby.

A 26-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a 14 month old baby. The 14 month old baby Inayah Ahmed was rushed to the hospital after suddenly becoming ill at her home in the Drumchapel area of Glasgow. She died three days later. The little girl, who was described as ‘the life and soul of the family’. After a post-mortem examination, police launched a formal investigation into the baby’s death. Inayah lived with her extended family in a smart cul-de-sac in Drumchapel, the Daily Record reports .

Up to 11 others, including her grandparents, her aunt’s family and two uncles, were all living under the same roof. It is understood locally that the grandmother and her husband are the householders, while one of their three sons is Inayah’s father. He is believed to be in his mid-20s. Neighbours say the Ahmeds were always friendly. The 26-year-old woman is in police custody and a report is being sent to the procurator fiscal.
